The pen is just Great! A Writing friend for all. So when it comes to Pick or Choosing a pen then there is no chance to go any wrong place to find your favorite one! Right? I know!

So today, as a friend I will show you the steps that can help to choose a pen for your next writing tasks.

So let’s get started by telling some initial facts about pens!

How to Choose A Pen?

Pens come in various shapes, Nib, Weight, sizes, and colors and are designed to meet a variety of requirements. and also there are some other things when you choose a pen, like is your selected pen is branded pen or non-branded?

So be Serious about that and focus on my article that what I am trying to explain to you that can help you what type of pen do you need and how to choose a pen that would be comfortable to hold and easy to use and also easy to carry anywhere you want!


Type of Pen To Choose

there are various of the pen in the market to choose. but these all types of pens are not good or maybe not comfortable with you.

That’s why you should check out the right type of pen.

There are 5-6 types of pens available in the market and they are 

  1. Ballpoint Pens
  2. Fountain Pens
  3. Rollerball Pens
  4. Gel Pens
  5. Marker Pens

So let’s Discuss these pens and compare them with one another and then I will tell you what type of pen will be perfect or comfortable for you.

#The Ballpoint Pens

Ballpoint pens Right? Ballpoint Pen is one of the most well-known and common pen types. The ink worked in ballpoint pens is oil-based and dries quicker than different types of ink, so that the ballpoint is known by the king of the pen.

But there is a little bit of a problem with ballpoint pens and that is the ink of the ballpoint pen is frequent so that you have to implement more writing pressure, in consequence, Ballpoint pens aren’t the most reliable option for long-times writing.

But, if you’re looking for a simple pen for daily practice, ballpoint pens will be the best and reliable option for you.

#The Fountain Pens

Fountain Pens are the luxury writing instrument. Moreover, I can say that a fountain pen is a writing tool implemented with a metal nib (usually solid gold) that utilizes a cartridge, converter, or other internal reservoirs to give a continuous and refillable ink supply.

after all the fountain pen is a great choice if you would like to live with luxury pens because the fountain pen is a little more expensive than other types of pens.

#The Rollerball Pens

Rollerball pens Right? in my opinion, the Rollerball pen is the brother of the Ballpoint pen! But there is a fact to see, and that is the only difference between Ballpoint with Rollerball Pens is the differentiation of ink type, Nothing more!

Where the ballpoint pen uses oil-based ink and Rollerball Pens use water-based ink.

The Rollerball pen is easy to use and it gives you a high smoothness writing experience when you are writing with a Rollerball pen because the Rollerball pen using a water-based ink that is pretty good for writing without much more pressure your hand.

So if you are looking for a long writing pen to complete your daily writing then Rollerball Pens will be a great solution for you but one thing to remember that, make sure to refill the ink often since they use more ink than other pen types like Ballpoint Pens.

#The Gel Pens

Gel Pens is the third number brothers of Ballpoint Pens and Rollerball Pens! this means Gel Pens is the combine characteristics from Rollerball Pens and Ballpoint Pens and the Gel Pens use a water-based ink that has consistency within both types of ink and gel pens are also available in a variety of colors.

in my opinion, this is the perfect one if you want to write with very smooth, but one thing to remember that the Gel Pens is not allowed for all places like Gel Pens is not allowed in the board exams! 

because Gel Pens might spoil your paper on the exam, that’s because of Gel Pens fully use water-based gel ink that will not be perfect for all places to write with. 

but without your important exam days, you can use a gel pen to get a test of smoothness writing experiences.

#The Marker Pens

Generally, the Marker Pens is known by Highlighter Pen in the market but actually, the Highlighter Pens called by Marker Pen.

Marker pens (Which is what everyone calls Highlighter Pen) come in 4 types of ink such as

  • pigment
  • water
  • oil
  • alcohol-based

(Pigment) and (water-based) inks are for traditional writing paper. and On the other hand, (oil) and (alcohol-based) inks are for non-paper media like metal, glass, plastic.

With such a wide variety of print sizes, Weight of Marker Pens, qualities, colors, and types, marker pens work very well for both writers and artists alike. so If you are looking to add a splash of color to any of your next projects, marker pens (or Highlighter) are the right one for you.

First of all, Try a ballpoint pen. 

Ballpoint pens are one of the best and common writing tools for writers. Ballpoint pens are absolutely a perfect pen to use everywhere, you can use a ballpoint pen for your school or any work in your office or home.

The main reason to use it everywhere is that you can purchase Ballpoint pens at a cheap price and have permission to use them everywhere.

I already said that rollerball pen is the brother of the ballpoint pen because Rollerball pens are similar to ballpoint pens, where ballpoint pen use oil-based ink and Rollerball Pens use a water-based ink that’s it!

But there is one interesting thing here that the Rollerball Pens deliver water-based ink, so it transfers to the paper instantly and forms sharp, dark lines. 

but there is one small problem with using it that is Rollerball pens can leak easily when they’re put in your pocket, held upside down too long or exposed to changes in pressure. 

If you are not careful about this, your wardrobe can be ruined. So be sure to be careful when carrying a rollerball pen in your pocket, As a friend, it’s my highly recommended Warning for you.

Try fountain pens if you are Interested

if you are looking for a luxurious writing tool that might make a big history of your life then this is the right pen. but when you are thinking about using a fountain pen, then you have to need some extra money to buy your favorite one (Fountain pen) 

like when it’s come to buy ballpoint pens or rollerball pens then you don’t need to have much money to buy these pens, but when it’s come to buy a fountain in that price range than you don’t have any way to overcome.

Why You Should Use a Fountain Pen?

  • Fountain pens offer a smoother writing experience for writers
  • Fountain Pens ink flows directly out of the pen’s nib, so no pressure is required to write with a fountain pen.

  • Fountain pens are beautiful better than ballpoint pens and rollerball pens

I just want to say one thing about the gel pen is that If you want a bit of smoothness and a bit of Peace in your writing then try this pen once in a while.

Important: The gel pen does not allow writing everywhere, as you cannot get permission to use a gel pen in the Exams, Because gel pens can ruin your exam note, so of course, keep these rules in mind. But without some special places, you can use Gel pens. So there is no reason to worry about this!

  • The gel pens ink does not get easily smeared unlike some other types of pens

Marker pens are used primarily for specific tasks, such as using a Marker pen to mark certain important areas of your textbook, Moreover, a marker pen is used on various glass, plastic To do Crafts and also Marker pens are a popular pen for artists.

So if you need a pen to do this kind of work then you can try a marker pen.
